We will always be mindful to allow you the time you need to talk through the specific funeral arrangements. And if your loved one has left instructions or made plans in advance, we will work together with you to make sure that their wishes are respected. There will be a number of decisions to be made and this may seem daunting but, rest assured, we will sensitively guide you through.
Before the funeral itself, you, your family and close friends may find comfort from visiting our chapel of rest and paying your last respects. All our chapels of rest have been blessed in accordance with the rites of the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches and in the presence of representatives of the Free Churches. No appointments are needed during our weekday opening hours. Visiting is also available during evenings and weekends if a prior appointment has been made. Because we feel it’s important for those paying their respects to be able to carry a peaceful and consoling final memory away with them, we always recommend that temporary preservation is performed by our experienced and professional staff. There is no additional cost for this service.
One of the decisions to be made will concern the type of committal that should take place (burial or cremation) and whether you wish to have a ceremony at a place of worship, for example a church, prior to the committal. Whichever is the case, we will make our exclusive fleet of matching Rolls Royce Silver Spur limousines available to you and, by prior arrangement, can also provide a pick-up service at local train stations. And, should a church service precede the committal, a separate saloon car will be made available to transport the officiating clergy to the cemetery or crematorium.
